Aechmea nudicaulis

The leaf has small spines on its edges and forms a very upright rosette.   The flower stem extends from the center of the rosette and the yellow flowers blooms at its tip.   The flower stem and the bract are bright crimson and creates a good contrast with the green of the rosette.
