Warasii is a globular cactus which usually grows solitarily but sometimes slowly forms clusters.   The stem is green.  It becomes tall and stands erect; up to 60cm in height and 30cm in diameter.

The spine is yellow, short and bristle.   The flower blooms at around its apex, is yellow, glossy and large; about six centimeters in diameter.
