Achillea chrysocoma

Achillea chrysocoma is an herbaceous perennial native to Greece and is distributed in the subalpine belt of Balkan Peninsula (Albania, Bulgaria, Republic of Macedonia, Greece).   It grows in a cluster on rough terrains.  The subterranean rhizome is branched and the stem stands erect.   Achillea chrysocoma grows up to 40cm in height.   The stem and leaf are densely covered with silky hairs and the leaf looks silver-grayish.   The yellow flower, which is about five millimeters in diameter, blooms from June to August.
